Galleria Department Store's operating profit YoY (+550.8%) looks huge only because the prior-year base was low — don't read it as a typical growth rate.

  • Shinsegae Simon Premium Outlets (corporate)Revenue and operating profit of the operating company Shinsegae Simon itself. Because the structure is rent-fee-centric, the operating margin (43%) is far above the retail-industry average — a different concept from 'total store sales' below
  • Shinsegae Premium Outlets (total store sales)Industry-compiled figure that sums in tenant-brand sales too — do not add this to the Shinsegae Simon corporate revenue above
  • Hyundai Premium Outlets/Hyundai City OutletsFolded into Hyundai Department Store's segment disclosure — standalone outlet profit/loss is not broken out
  • AK Plaza NSC/Shopping MallsRetail revenue from NSC/mall-format outlets, distinct in character from a typical premium outlet. Currently operating at a loss

Data notes — please read

  • This table is not a complete annual time series. Most of 2018–2024 is still blank because segment-level department store figures haven't yet been extracted from the original annual reports; only values confirmed in public disclosures, IR materials, or industry compilations are included.
  • For outlets, Corporate Revenue (the operating company's own revenue, rent-fee-centric so margins run high) and Total Store Sales (an industry compilation that sums in tenant-brand sales) are different concepts. Where both figures exist for the same brand — as with Shinsegae Premium Outlets — never add them together or compare them on the same basis.
  • Lotte's and Hyundai's outlets are folded into their department store segment disclosures, so standalone profit/loss isn't published. Only total store sales (industry compilation) can be confirmed.
  • AK Plaza is an unlisted company, so its 2026 Q1 department store segment figures were not separately disclosed.
